nicoledean has indicated that this thread is about New Zealand

Hey guys,

I've finally booked my trip with one of my friends and we have bought 2 bus pass things each for the Kiwi Experience whilst we are in New Zealand.
We are there for a month and bought the 'Sheep Dog' and a 'southlander' which between them is a pretty good route we think!

I was just wondering if anyone had been on one of these before and what they thought about them?
We were considering selling them and just doing it on our own or maybe one of those organised trips for part of it and the rest on our own?
Any opinions on the bus passes, trips etc would be great? what do you think?

Any potential buyers and a reduced rate get in contact too, i can give you all the deatils about them.

If you like to drink lots of alcohol, try various drugs, and have sex with as many people as possible then Kiwi Experience is the way to go.

Aside from that, expect delays when buses are constantly full for the trip you want, staff who wont help to try and get you where you need to go, and the expectation that you will want to stop and spend loads of money on every sight or adventure sport available.

Sorry if I make sound terrible, but I speak from experience. I am even sorrier if I make it sound great!

My recommendation: Get a pass from Intercity and step on and off any bus you please, when you please.

Thank you for that.
Sadly i've heard all that before as well. After i booked my ticket of course.

So is the intercity a realiable and cheap way of getting round then?
Do you have any ideas on how we can sell them?

the experience was ok when i used it a couple of years back, the buses were always pretty full and unreliable though. the alcohol stories are true but surely thats part and parcel of travelling - especially in new zealand?!? - but after a while it can get a bit boring and over familiar

are there any tour companies besides Kiwi experience, Magic bus or Flying kiwi that cover the south island?

Sell the pass - go with Magic Bus.
They were fantastic. Mixed age group, fantastic, extremely helpful drivers, no bus delays. I a brilliant time and would highly reccomend them!
Need any more info just ask away.

Ive been looking into buying a campervan when we get to NZ, I think it works out cheaper and at least you have the flexibility of going when and where you want
