Starting from England/ Hertfordshire. (Or anyone giving lifts to Dover/Anywhere in France from near(ish) me)

I am looking for a travel buddy/companion to share the experience of being completely “free” without cost and only relying on us and the people we meet around. (Anywhere) I just put a few countries up because it would take me at least an hour to click them all since i am not worried where we go or where we end up. This is the whole point, being free.

Anyone who would like to come and join me on this completely “Epic” adventure i would love to hear back from you.

Here’s a few things that i think should be important.
1.) Being a friendly outgoing person who loves to share experiences with others.
2.) Willing to leave everything behind for as long as you wish.
3.) Expect the unexpected and being able to cope with it.
4.) Able to try and stay positive even if things are getting rough as the journey continues.
5.) Actually willing to 100% commit to this.

I don’t think there’s anything else to say other than, I cannot wait for some responses! Hope to hear back from you soon!

~Thanks for reading. Deano

Good luck mooching free transport out of the UK and good luck talking foreign Embassies into giving you free Visas.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

Sorry for the late reply i just went out for a couple of days to test my theory of "Hitchhiking/Mooching" in the UK. And all i have to say it is possible and it works reasonably well. (Unless i was super super lucky) So yeah that works.

Another thing is i met a few fellow hitchhikers on the way and they said that it doesn't actually cost anymore for the ticket across the channel as long as you claim for the amount of people and the amount of people doesn't exceed maximum people per vehicle and people are willing to help out. (Sometimes might be harder but, defiantly possible)

Last thing. As a citizen of an EU country, you can visit, live, work and study in any other EEA country for as long as you wish without a visa.
Here's the EU site with all the info you may need.
http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/index_en.htm

Thanks to yahoo.

My point was that no one with two brain cells is going to take a stranger across an international border in their own personal vehicle. The legal liability is daunting.

And yes, border crossings are a no brainer if you're going to restrict yourself to only the EU and destinations where they're not required.

Good luck and have fun.

Terry
