Is Michael Jackson guilty of child molestation, or an innocent victim of money-hungry opportunists?

What are your thoughts?

It is really hard to tell I think... both sides of the coin are equally crazy

I'm not part of that legal system, so I don't have an opinion either way. The court will make the decision ... unless he is able to make an out-of-court settlement beforehand.

Incredibly hard call.... haven't been able to make up my mind either way. At first I thought it was a clear case but now I'm not so sure. Especially since some of the prosecutors witnesses haven't been too solid...

Wocca, surely just because you aren't a part of that legal system doesn't mean you have no opinion whatsoever on the matter? By that standard I would only concern myself with what is going on in my own country, making me very shortsighted indeed

The whole trial is pretty sketchy. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. My question is ..why bring this up now? If you were a parent, would u have done something sooner?

My personal opinion, he is as guilty as O.J. (and we saw how that ended up didn't we?)

Guilty or not guilty who knows, but he certainly didn't learn his lesson from the whole Jordan incident, and lives a lifestyle where allegations of this type will crop up from time to time. He's guilty of being stupid and naive at least

I can't really make up my mind whether he's guilty or not. I have this feeling that he's innocent. He's such a tragic figure. All I feel is pity for him. :(

i'd like to think he's innocent, he looks so pitiful in all the pictures but i can't help feeling that were theres smoke theres fire, even if its a misunderstanding....

Perhaps I am being very shortsighted by NOT subscribing to trial by media. And, this sort of thing goes on all the time in my OWN country ... Australia.

Under the Westminster System, the legal burden of proof in civil cases is "the balance of probabilities". For criminal cases, "beyond reasonable doubt". So far as I'm aware, Jackson is facing criminal charges. I'd prefer that a duly sworn, unbiased jury make a decision based on the facts presented in court rather than by public opinion.

Regardless of who the accused may be, the maxim "innocent until proven guilty" should prevail.
