I would like to spend more than the 90/180 days in Europe this fall/winter and am trying to figure out if it is possible. I have Duel Citizenship in the US and Canada and have a passport for each. I would like to spend Oct/Nov. in Europe, return to N.America for a few weeks, and then return to Europe for Jan/Feb.
I have not been able to find any specific info about doing this. I have found info saying that D/C doesn't entitle you to 180 days, but the example they gave was entering on passport A and leaving on passport B. They never mentioned entering and leaving on passport A then returning with passport B for another visit, which is what I would like to do.
The other info that I have found which suggests it's possible, but doesn't confirm my idea, is that your status in a country as a D/C is determined by the passport you enter on. I.e., if you have D/C for a Schengen Area country and a non-Schengen country and you enter on the non-Schengen passport you must leave after 90 days. While if you enter on your Schengen country passport you can stay for however long you would like.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this.
