Brazil is coming!

Football fans it is time to get ready! If you haven't already done so, join the World Cup group and drop in for a chat ahead of the opening game Brazil vs Croatia.

Let us know who you're supporting or better yet – help us pick the winner

The chat will be happening an hour before kick off, so join us in the World Cup group at 4pm BRT/7pm GMT for some lively football banter.

Netherlands and Australia! The odds of both of them getting through the group is basically 0, but I live in hope

I'll be up for this chat at 5 AM . Some other people better join me! Well, if you don't join in chat, I'll just be watching all the prematch stuff on tele - there's worse things to do at 5AM.

I love the world cup but I have little interest in how England do these days to be honest, so I'll just be enjoying the tournament. I love the way it brings everyone across the world together for a month.

May the best team win!

It's happening for women's hockey...

(Personally I live in eternal hope of three Dutch losses in a row, though; the faster the madness leaves this country for another two years, the better.)

A+ effort from the US today. Very good chance to make it out of the group now which is quite unexpected considering the opponents. A lot of giants have fallen in these group stages which always makes for great entertainment.

It's been an extremely entertaining World Cup so far actually.

And importantly, Holland is still in it ;)
