Travelbag, Trailfinders or Flight Centre. The websites don't necessarily have the cheapest fare so give them a call. I have used these 3 numerous times as they always tend to come up with the most competitive prices. STA travel are decent too.

With a flight to Oz, you'll want to shop around a bit and be flexible with dates and route as much as possible. I got a quote for someone yesterday and it was amazingly high! Managed to get it down a bit but the prices of a couple of years ago are not lying around anymore....

Flights like this get quite complicated too and there's literally a web of contracts good agents have to get through so giving an agent a call like dave suggests is definitely the best way to go

Sorry, i forgot to put a company i have used the last 2 times i have been to Asia, didn't realise they covered Aus, thought they just specialised in the Far East but they cover Aus as well.

WestEastTravel 08702201001. They have a website but you have to phone them to get a price. I think they are a small, independent travel agents but very good. My friend found them by accident a couple of years back. See how you get on with those guys as well. They always seem to have some really good specials on the go.

Normally the cheapest, if not only a few quid out it www.lastminute.co.uk or .com also keep an eye on expedia, I picked up a one-way to Oz in a sale for 346 pounds.

Good Luck

thanks guys!

I looked into the ones you advised but in the end booked through Ebookers, £641 Manchester - Heathrow - Hong Kong (5 days) - Melbourne
Sydney - Bangkok (6 days) - Heathrow - Manchseter

thought this was a reasonable price, includes all taxes and visa
