Hi
I'm taking a few months off to live and thrive in France. I'm looking for ideas on accomodation, and interested in anyone's experiences with a language school in France. I'd like to take lessons of some sort. Any tips on where to live would be great too. I've been to Paris before and wasn't too thrilled with my treatment there (I was travelling with an American at the time). Maybe I'll try further south.

Let me know!
thanks.
gillian

Hiya, I learned my French living in France 2 years ago. Unfortunately, I went to school there as I was young enough (not helpful, sorry!) but I found the reason I learned so quickly was the super-friendly people I met. I was in Brittany (north-west) and it's just the most amazing place to live (stunning scenery as well).
Anyway, not the most helpful reply, but message me if ya like and I'll help any way I can :)
Rach

I do not know about any language schools in France, but I know where you can probably get informal lessons. Check out the website www.expatriates.com...it is this great website where there are different random listing for housing, jobs, language exchanges and lessons. Also you could check out goabroad.com...they usually have a couple of schools with different programs listed there...unfortunetly they are usually expensive. Good luck.
