D_ave has indicated that this thread is about Wellington International Airport

I have seen a few threads regarding traveling with a criminal record. most of them revolve around the USA.
however, New ZeaLand seem to have a fairly strict code too.

has anyone had any issues when travelling there - I am an Australian Citizen as well as a a British so can use both passports.
i have also read on a previous post that criminal records don's appear on your passport. i have had NO problem in other countries including Dubai, east Africa SE Asia.

when filling out the arrival card and it says "have you committed a crime?" i wondered, if you put yes - then get taken for questioning because of it - they will deny you entry and hassle out out.. if you say NO - how do they actually know? apart from being a random check?

assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

No one can offer an opinion when you give no clue what the criminal offenses were, or where and when they happened.

I'm actually curious about this too. But I'm reversed.

I'm a kiwi with a criminal conviction in Taiwan, it was a minor shoplifting charge. I've lived in Taiwan for about fifteen months but never more than three months at a time.

Kiwis and Aussies have such a sweet deal with work rights etc. will this affect my ability to get into Aussie? Anyone had any experience with this?
