I was discussing this with my Mum last night. She was asking me about some of the countries Ill be going to. She said "What if there's another earthquake or tsunami?" She believes that Ireland is safe.

I could be hit by a bus in the morning or wrap my car around a tree in Ireland. I dont feel that Im flirting with death by visiting Thailand and Indonesia.

If it happens, it happens. I would be terrified of course, but I'm going to live in fear of what might happen. I am terrified of dying without having ever really lived.

I'm not so much afraid to die as afraid of the "how".

I agree with Eve (is that getting old yet?) - you can't stop yourself from living out of fear for what might happen. You'll end up on your deathbed thinking "Well, that was comfortable."

As your mom, people think my trips are crazy too. I do believe when your day comes to an end, it was predestined and may that be here or in another part of the world, it was meant to happen at that specific point and time. Why worry about it?

Actually, I am not ready to "leave" this life just yet but I am not afraid of dying. I have no regrets and I think I've seen and done enough for my short 31...er...soon to be 32 years. It would be interesting so see "what I am remembered by" at my funeral .

I hope it will be fast and painless...because if it gets too painful, I will be taking myself out.

Yes, I am afraid to die. Plain and simple. I do not ever let it enter in to how I live my life, but I have no plans to go without some very loud kicking and screaming first. As with most, quick and painless is preferable. If not, I know I have the inner strength to accept the inevitable put my "house" in order. It does not mean I won't be afraid.

My grandad died while he was dancing. He just got a massive heart attack - probably didnt feel a thing. That's how I want to go.

Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck!!! You bet! I'm very happy with the breathing thing - it's working well for me at the moment.

Nothing like dying doing what you love most...I would love to die on top of a mountain!
