Up until they had to change their wedding date, I couldn't have cared less. But now - jeez, let them marry in peace. Why should they be denied the chance to be happy? Charles isn't just tied to the apron strings, he's practically welded to an iron corsett. They should marry and set-up home in Antartica.

From an American point of view - and only mine at that - what title Bowles will use, or be allowed to use, is about as important as Brad and Jen's divorce. It may set a new precedence within the Monarchy, but looking at the big picture - it has nothing to do with the real political arena within the UK. Celebrity and Royal watching is about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Being born with a silver spoon in your mouth comes with a price. Maybe it's time ol' Charlie gets to remove it and get a real life. More power to them whichever way it goes.

Maybe I'm just jaded because my invitaion to the wedding hasn't arrived yet. I will be waiting by my mailbox again today...

It's quite understandable that the British monarchy may not be of much interest from an American point of view.

For those who have the British monarchy as the head of state, then it is a different issue ....

Quoting CNN.com

Queen Elizabeth II has said she will not attend her eldest son's second marriage, but she is planning to attend a blessing being given afterwards by Archbishop Williams at nearby Windsor Castle, west of London.

Who do you think most people in England would prefer as their king?

I have heard talk of Prince William as the most popular choice.

Do you think he would be mature enough at this stage?

You know what-who cares-why should all this matter-let them get on with stuff in peace-at the end of the day they are human-i get bored of it-who's interested in their every detail!

Poor Harry-when he gets a 'telling-off' from the papers-i mean hes young-let him live for goodness sakes!

It wouldn't make a difference who was king, PM etc. blah, blah, blah-this country is badly run and i don't think it will change!

doesn't matter who is the new king or what's the name of a new PM and what political party they are from - they are only muppets in the hands of the rulling class (industrialists, bankers - those who do have huge money and power).

The whole system stinks - and it's this same not only here but all over the world.
