Can anyone recommend the best Hostel in Sydney for over New Years , just like with the best reviews and if it's clean etc ...? Wanting to book it because I'm going alone for new year then back to Brisbane!

Also if anyone is up for meeting and doing the same for new year please say ?

At this point: Any hostel with not completely horrendously bad reviews which is still available. And there won't be many of those.

NYE in Sydney is ridiculously popular, and should generally be booked some six months in advance. What's left by this point tends to have very long minimum stays (10+ days), be way overpriced, be really crappy, or be way out of the center. And frequently a combination of that.

Good luck finding something.

Honestly, at this time of year you really need to be looking for one that still has availability and won't cost a fortune. Good luck!

Aw sorry there's still a few places.

TP has a couple around $600 and Backpackers HQ is pretty central http://www.travellerspoint.com/accommodation/australia/sydney/budget/

600? Wow that's a lot?

Yeah that was a search for 5 nights, but as Sander mentioned there's either minimum stays or nothing cheaper available for shorter stays. There's a place in Coogee if you don't mind being further out.
