Hi All,

Me and my friends are planning to travel L.A through to Miami, making a few short stops along the way.
I just wanted advice with regards to travel plan, transportation, must see stops, must miss places etc etc.

Basically any advice is good advice.

Below is the travel plan:

LA

Bus between $25, 6 HOURS

Las Vegas – 1 day
Death Valley
Gran Canyon ($115 bus tour inc brekkie return L.V – G.C)

Bus: $89, 1.5 DAYS, Flight: £120, 8 hours.

Flight - L.V to Houston: £129, 7 hours, 1 stop.
Bus - L.V to Houston: $99, 1.5 days

Dallas – ½ day

Bus: $13.50, 4 hours.

Houston – ½ day
Possibly wildlife refuges

Bus Houston to New Orleans, $18, 7 hours
New Orleans – 1 day
De soto National forest

Bus: $42, 8.5 hours

Panama City – 1 day

Bus: $47, 9 hours.

Orlando – 1 day
Disney world/Universal Studios

Bus: $21, 5 hours (express)

Miami – 5 days

So LA is basically just a starting off point, I don't think we will spend much time there due to expense and lack of activities. Miami is the big deal, the main part of our break.
We are allocating about two weeks to the trip, allowing two days or so for travel, 10 days for places, and two days or so for just in case.

Recommendations are much needed!!!!!

Thanks!:)

When you say Miami I assume you mean Miami Beach.
You aren't going to have any trouble finding something to do there.
In Miami Beach rent some Deco Bikes and ride around Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. In Miami itself the Metromover and Metrorail are a great way to get around. They also connect to the Tri-Rail train that you could take up to West Palm Beach and visit City Place if Miami gets too crazy.
If things seem too expensive just go west. Generally the further west you go the cheaper things get, but it does turn into suburbs and some industrial areas.
Stay safe and use common sense.

By Miami, I'm sure you're talking about the beach.
In the city area you shouldn't have any trouble, since metrorail is a good way to get around the city.

Metro should be the best option for you.

If you want more suggestions I suggest you be a little more specific...like museums or night life or food.
