I'm hoping to travel to Thailand on Boxing Day of this year until around the 7th / 8th of January alone, and wondered whether anybody had similar plans and/or some advice.
Is Thailand still a good place to go alone? I don't want to spend the entire time wishing I was with friends.
I'm 25, live in London, work in recruitment and I'm into most kinds of sport / activity.
I'll look forward to hearing from you all!!
I am in a similar position as yourself, I fly out the 28th of December for 6 weeks on my own and am basically looking for friends haha. I am 21 years old, very well travelled and enjoy socialising! I prefer drinking beer than playing sport if I am honest.
I look forward to a response.
Sounds like we'd get along like a house on fire!! I've been to Thailand before, but it was with family when I was 16 so looking forward to doing it properly. Have you got any plans in terms of where you want to visit? The general theme seems to be full moon party on NYE and then a bit of island hopping, but I'm open to whatever.
i'm outdoorsy, active type. Island shopping is my main plan for south Thailand. Ill be there along the same times....
I'll be there for full moon on my own and then island hopping after too!!!
Only 18 from the UK.
I'm already in Asia but this is my first trip.
I'm going at the end of jan , only really going for 2 weeks then onto australia!
I'll be out there for New Year's Eve and most of January. I'm thinking the full moon party is the place to be for NYE, does anyone know of the best places to stay during full moon party? I'll be travelling alone so would be good to meet other solo travellers!
I'm travelling to Bangkok in December with a friend. We will stay for New Year and then travel to the Krabi province.
