Hey all!!!

It looks like there are a few people that will be solo in NYC for Christmas! I flew in last night and will be here until the 27th and I am also flying solo and know no one so I'm keen to catch up with anyone for drinks or food :)

Hi all,

I have been sending out private messages to you all and think that I have maximum 6 private messages per day as a new member!!

Basically, I was saying that it happened to be that I will be alone in New York for this Christmas and would love to join you all if possible. I will be arriving in New York on 25th around 2pm.

SolitudeNY - thank you so much for your replies. Unfortunately, I will be still working on 24th. But, definately will join you as soon as I arrive in New York on 25th. I am more of your ages fyi.

I am looking forward to speaking with you all. :)

Hey Sunny, since you're getting most of the messages, would you like to organized the meet?

Where are we meeting up and at what time?

24. Posted by Sunny 210 (Budding Member 3 posts) 1y

Haha, I don't think that's the case :)

Anything particularly you guys fancy doing? I think that we should meet up in Manhattan like central park and decide which restaurant or building we should meet up. In the end, as long as we can decide on where we meet up, we can decide what to do from there?

Also, do you want to give me private email address through private message? Then I will reply to you using my private email address and then we we can talk more freely?

I'm just worried we wont be able to find a seat on xmas day with a lot of people.
Although, I could be wrong since it's family day everyone might be home eating dinner.

I don't really have anything in mind. My original idea was to be in Manhattan around 4-5am on Xmas Eve.. . an empty manhattan might make a good photo. At least that was the idea, but i'm not sure I want to go all the way up there to take a few photos then having to wait an hour or two just to get back -- haha! The subway will have massive delays.

Delays on the subway? I wouldn't have thought that would be a thing.

In case people wanted to get in touch with me either go here or contact me at 817 965 1748

I think it might be hard to find somewhere - even though most people will be home, most places will be closed too, and some of those that aren't won't be serving dinner. I know a place that was open and serving on Thanksgiving; dunno if it'll be open but I can check.

If there's a limit on private messages, maybe we should all send a message to Sunny with offsite contact details of some kind? :)

Yes please! :)

Would meeting up at 4pm in Manhattan sounds workable for everyone? Also, since I won't be in New York until 25th, would appreciate if anyone would like to take a charge and book a restaurant. Am easy with all food in any case! lol

Yes, there will be less trains running and if you miss a train, it would be an hour wait or so. And if it's late nights, might even have to wait 2 hours.

Tomorrow is Xmas Eve, so I'm not sure if everyone want to get together on both the 24th and 25th? or.. . just one or the other? Either way, if we want to dine, I don't know if it's going to be easy. Our best chance would be at a hotel restaurant.

We should all get on GroupMe, it's free and works via web browser or smart phone app.
It's basically a chatroom with private messages. I had used this in the past and it works well for grouping up with people.

Edit: Yes, 4pm on the 25th works for me as well.

Hey so Ill just put this out there it says that its gonna be raining tomorrow (24th xmas eve), but Im still keen to check out the carolling at Gramercy Park at 6pm, its a private park that gets open to the public, and its like in Manhattan really close to Union Square.

For 25th Im not sure whether I have any plans so will have to play that by ear.
