Hi Ashlee,

I'm also from Melbourne and will be alone for Christmas as I am currently studying at the College of New Jersey. Would love to catch up, and can easily show you around NYC as I find myself in there most weekends. Can easily show you how to use the subway and where the major tourist attractions are. I have actually taken the "pigeon women" photo you joked about haha. Would love to hear from you as I am also not keen to be spending Christmas alone.

Hey AussieNewYorker and anyone else.

Unfortunately this thread is two years old :( so I won't be in New York. From this thread though, there ended up being a group of about 8 people and we had a great Christmas Eve! I am sure more people will follow! You should get a big group together 😁

According to some scientific publications that have been proven that New Yorker are neurotic and unfriendly. But don’t worry you are going on Christmas time, so there are lots of things to do in New York.

Metropolitan museum of art, Times Square, Empire State Building, Museum of modern art, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of liberty and fells Ellis island, American museum of natural history, Central park, The high line, Whitney museum of American art, Solomon R. Guggenheim museum, Coney island, Broadways shows, Lincoln center for the performing art, Washington Square park and the west village.
