Canadian PR applying for U.S visit visa

Travel Forums North America Canadian PR applying for U.S visit visa

As the title indicates, I am a Canadian Permanent Resident applying for a U.S visit visa to be with family next year. I have no priors in Canada or anywhere else for that mater. However I did get in trouble visiting Pakistan (as a foreign worker) last year where I believe it was religiously motivated (I am from a minority sect, a professor and social activist. I am a model immigrant!!). The matter was sorted out in court, I was arrested but released (time served) due to lack of evidence. Had my finger printing and biometrics all done.

This might be a moot point, but I do think if I tick YES in the visa application form that would just open a can of worms. My backgrounds are clear here in Canada, so is there reason for me to fear that the same wont be the case with the Americans?

Any help would be appreciated.

You're fine. Databases aren't shared between Pakastan and the US.
