I am finishing uni at the end of july and have got a month off before starting a job at the beginning of sept.
Really fancy having an adventure, not even sure where: Europe, USA, Asia? Fancy travelling with others, anybody else in the same position? Or if you have any ideas where to go, I would be very grateful as I don't want to see another summer fly.
Lots of people on here will be travelling at that time, either for just that period or as part of a longer trip, who may or may not be interested in having a companion for some/all of the time, but in general, you will probably have more luck if you have a specific-ish area you hope to travel in.
I'm not saying you won't get a response or that you shouldn't be open to changing to a different destination to fit, but saying your looking for a companion to one of Europe OR SEA OR the US will probaboy get you many more replies and options etc. Also, look through some of the existing posts in the forum, and consider replying to some of those as well if they are interesting. Many people don't check the forums unless their own post is replied to, and if somebody has already asked about trying to find a partner in that time, you might have more luck (and quicker) replying to them.
But good luck in finding a partner, congrats on completing Uni, and happy travels
Thank you for your advice. You sound very wise! Taken your advice and trying to narrow it down.
Am now considering spending 3 weeks travelling around Europe, so hopefully will be able to pick up some buddies on the way!
Take care and hope all your adventures are amazing
i just got back from Prague around 6 weeks ago.. i do not have a bad word to say...it was so pretty...and would be great for you to see it in the summer. Rome is another must see. Again...loads to do, great weather...fab food. Barcalona is again, wonderful, nice weather...lots to see etc. I would say you should def go to these 3 places if you can.
Hope that helps
One month is just too short to spend in Asia. I would stick to just 2 countries as it will give you the chance to really discover the country and not only do the tourist stuff. After 16 years and 55 countries, my most vivid experiences have been getting off the beaten track and seeing locals without tourists.
Also as it's your first trip I would say that Czech republic and Slovakia are good for one month. Old buildings, fine walks, and cheap and great beer! It is also safe but take the normal precautions.
If you would like to see Asia, then Maylasia would be a good start. Various ethnic groups, relitively safe, easy to get around and English is spoken.
if you want to travel in Sept 1st week, I will be in Thailand.
