Travel Forums Asia Tips for travelling from Flores to Komodo and Lombok?

Who has any experience of travelling to Flores, Indonesia? My plan is to fly from Denpasar to Maumere, Flores. Stay a week (or so...) in Flores and then take a boat all the way back to Lombok.
Has anyone got some recommendations? Advice?

I took ferries all the way from Bali to komodo and back.
Long trip.. but I thought it was worth it
