Travel Forums Introductions Halo. Hello...or which one is correct? :)

I want to express myself in so many ways, it's actually hard to even start.

So Hello, everyone!

My name's Erika and I am a non-stable, constantly changing and fun supporting bunch of energy. I come from a super-various environment, and I like to think how my destiny was predicted to be unpredictable. I'm 23 years old, and unlike others, I don't feel like I don't know where I'm heading, on the contrary, I always have a goal and I am sure that's the right direction. There's only one tiny flaw in all this - my goal keeps changing almost weekly/monthly and basically what I find myself doing, is keep discovering, exploring and relocating. Everything that is known, or getting known is getting less and less interesting, and I feel again what I can't ever avoid - time to jump after something new and unknown. Super unknown.

And now, to be more concrete; I was born in Slovakia, in the second biggest city called Kosice. My father is German and my mother is Hungarian, and after my secondary school I applied for a French high-school, and attended it for 5 years in France and Slovakia. After I learned French, English, a bit of German/Hungarian/and other Slavic languages I got so super excited about how I can communicate anywhere that basically I decided to do something about it. As all the youth I started attending a uni, concretely geography as that was probably the only subject truly interesting for my hearth full of dreams out there in different countries. But it required too much of my concentration and I got so super bored after a week of uni that I packed my suitcase, and told my mum I'm leaving somewhere in a week. Yes I had a boyfriend, roof over my head and only 500 euros saved from part time student jobs, but...I had to go.

And I left to England, to earn money and travel further later. I was just home sitting and baby sitting, and travelling all around the North-East England, as I was trying to avoid too mainstream southern part of the country. And what I found mega super exciting after half of the year, was that just couple of hours away, there is Scotland.

And yeah, attracted to the seductive Scotland't nature and new country I just moved again. And that's where I am now, and I am - let's say happy. I am very satisfied with country's warm-hearted people, and my plan is to travel all around and see and hear every story and its origins. Next on the list is Ireland, and during the year 2015, I will have Ireland, Scotland and little parts of surrounding countries like Norway wrapped around my finger. And let's say, as I applied for uni again-Earth Sciences this time- according to their decision to let me enroll or not, I will relocate or not. Exciting stuff.

What I am looking for is to get at least a partial peace of mind by writing about my experience and showing off to other people nothing is impossible - and also find fellow crazy souls who need something beyond what they have. Always.

Thanks for reading and get in touch if it's possible on this site, I am new here and can't wait to post everything!

Hi

I share your pain - I have a short attention span too! It makes for an interesting life. And there is a correlation with high intelligence, a lot of people are too smart to be satisfied with settling down in one place for a quiet life.

And you have gravitated to one of my favourite places - Scotland. Found all the good bits yet? :-)

Hello Rene!

Oh yes, that's exactly what I've been trying to do right now, to start participating in online travellers'communities more and possibly start my very own blog, starting by writing down old experiences and tips and getting to my recent ones as I've developed my perspectives and experience!

I'm afraid I will be same as you in your age haha... Hope to have that much travelled too! :D

Cheers for a nice reply!
