I want to drink beer in bars packed with screaming fans, backpack and train hop and camp and cycle. I want to swim in rivers and climb mountains. I want to be lost for words at the beauty of churches and art. I want to see sheep on the green hills of Scotland and Ireland. I want to meet new people and hear their stories. Most importantly I want to document all of it and help inspire other millennials to fulfill their dreams to travel as well.
I am new to this forum so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Paula and I am currently a nanny however in June 2015 I finish my current position and am looking to go on new adventures. I eventually would like to travel all over the world, but I am more than willing to start right here in the US. The only problem is I don't have any friends to do it with. They all want to settle down and begin their lives and I used to feel that way to but now I have this urge to travel.
I am the crazy girl in the group, was friends with the international lads on the golf team at my university. I have travelled and studied abroad in Spain, spent a summer in Canada and traveled parts of the east coast but other than that I don't have so much travel experience. I have a tight budget but am willing to work. I am quick to think, make friends easily and super resourceful. I am not afraid to camp or hike. I just don't want to alone. I have been doing a lot of research and since I have been a nanny and house sat a lot I think it would be amazing to pickup house sitting gigs as the trip goes. I have a lot of planning to do and know that there are so many details to figure out but I am for sure up for the challenge.
I am not sure how yet or where, but I know I would really like someone male or female to travel with. I think it is probably just safer that way. I have 4 months or so to start planning so any suggestions are more than welcome! As well as anyone interested in embarking on this journey with me!
