Oh, I just about forgot about Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. Lake Louise is pretty small, but the Chateau (a part of the Fairmonts) Lake Louise is beautiful, and the lake, a gorgeous tourqoise because of the silt in it, is named after a British Princess. The town doesn't have that much to offer a traveller, though. The local bar is just local (Lake Louise Inn), although you may meet some interesting, and nice people there.

Banff is a great town to hang out in- so much to do, and great shopping if you spend the time. It isn't just a bunch of 'trinklet shopes' like so many people assume. Also, you could catch a movie in the unique theatre there, across from the Banff Rocky Mountain Hotel/ Resort, (with the international flags). There are exceptional restaurants to eat in in Banff, and you can stay at the hostel for $21 CDN a night; it is an HI/YHA hostel, and that is without the membership.

In Jasper Nat'l Park, the Jasper townsite is a nice place to visit. There are quite a few pleasant hikes nearby, so ask at the tourist information or buy a book in a bookstore. I recommend "Don't Hike In The Canadian Rockies Without This." Sorry, I can't remember the authors names, though.

Peace,
Steph

Don't forget to come to the East. Montreal is a beautiful city with the best nightlife in Canada. AND we're reputed to have the hottest girls! June and July are the best months here; it's when all the big festivals are held.
