I have a two night stop over in Singapore on my way over to Australia in mid October, I was just wondering where is best to stay and the best things to do during the two days I am there?
Also is anyone else going to be around on the 16-18th October would be cool to meet up.
My preference is a hotel not that far from Singapore MRT.
One time I used the South East Asia Hotel on Waterloo Street.
(Singapore is now the most expensive city in Asia.)
Look over some of the old posts on Singapore for some advice and comments.
If I went back and was willing to spend some money I'd stay at the Skypark hotel, which looks like a cruise ship sitting on top of three skyscrapers. Non residents can visit a viewing platform but only residents can use the rooftop spa.
The long bar in Raffles hotel is on a lot of people's list but it's a rip off price for a Singapore sling that comes out of a slushie machine, and this isn't the famous historic long bar, this was built in the 1980s.
The night zoo is hugely popular if that's your thing.
