wanderingfool has indicated that this thread is about USA

I'm going out to DC for a wedding in a week and i'll have a day to blow in the city with my girlfriend. We've both been there before and have done all the major touristy stuff, suggestions on other things to do in the area, is there stuff we could do in baltimore, it looks only about 45 min away on the map?

Hi Doug,

This time of year (anytime but Winter) its really nice around the Baltimore Harbor. There are lots of nice resturants & bars looking out over the harbor. The aquirium there is also one of the best (dolphin shows, etc.). Visiting the Baltimore Harbor would be a nice way to spend a day with your girlfriend. Also its not a huge area so once you are there you can just walk around and enjoy the day.

there is a lot to do in DC.. Georgetown is a decent area.. but if you have done it all in DC and want to try something different, Baltimore isnt a bad idea at all. But stick to the harbour and surrounding areas. As someone said, Inner harbor is a good place. Right around it is a complex called power plant live.. some good clubs and lounges there.. a block away from there is little italy and even further down there is fells point with lots of food places.

dont know if crabs have shown up yet, if they have some place in maryland would be a good place to go try crabbing or crabs ..
