Hi,

Some advice..

I am planning 3 days in Ayer's rock. I would like to camp at the park, but I am not bring a tent. Can I rent a tent? Or is it better to stay in Alice's springs and do day trips? Maybe some other accommodations? Any excursions, that are a must do?

Any information would be appreciated!

M.

Ayer's Rock is now more (politically) correctly known as Uluru. There's a purpose-built holiday village called Yulara with an airport 2km away. It's handy for Uluru (20km) and for Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) (50km). There are a number of different accommodations there for various budgets including a camping ground and air-conditioned apartments. When we were there for a couple of nights, we hired a car for twenty-four hours and walked around Uluru at sunrise and Kata Tjuta for sunset - absolutely brilliant!

Enjoy the outback!:)

Thanks Steve!

For the advice and the education. Don't want to cause an international incident....again!
I am sure Uluru will be an experience!
