I think I wanna find some work in Sydney at least till the new year and then travel up the east coast! Haven't got any plans really though!! Yeah I've got a working visa!
I don't know about how long I'm spending out there I think I'm just going to see how it goes lol xx
If you hope to be in Sydney for NYE itself, go and book accommodation for that during the next couple of weeks already. (I'm not kidding; NYE in Sydney is crazy popular, and many good options will already be booked solid. By the time August rolls around, the only things available will tend to be super expensive, require super long minimal stays, or will be super crappy, and shoftly after that they tend to feature at least two, if not all three of those things.)
I've not yet got my visa sorted but i'm planning to stay in the same hostel or another for the next week after the trip.
Just to give me some time to get my bearings and figure out where i want to be and what i want to do next.
Hoping to get some work as an au pair whilst in Sydney and then work the rest of my way round in farms and fruit picking.
Definitley just taking it as it comes! Don't want to tie myself to anything really.
If I like a place i'd like to have the option to stay there as long as I like and if i'm not too sure on somewhere then i'd like to be able to just pack up and move on to the next place!
Yeah I would like to do fruit picking etc! Best places to meet people.
I don't think this is something you can plan too much as like you say until your there you don't know!
Do any of use have facebook?? Xx
Apparently pays well too!
Yeah that's it, depends on people you meet too I guess!
Yeah, emily.holden.9 is my username.
Hey! I'm also heading to Oz in November booking this weekend, it will be me and my boyfriend heading out there. Our plans are a little more concrete in the fact we know that from January we will be based in Melbourne, but before that I think we will be flying into Cairns and spending a few weeks travelling down (as well as Christmas and NY in Sydney). If plans work out it would be great to meet people whilst travelling around! And if anyone makes it out Melbourne way in the New Year would be good to hang out!
Is any of you heading to Melbourne around nov time? I am thinking of heading there first and then trying to work where to go from there.. I am going to be headi g there on my own and would be nice to meet people out there.
if your heading to australia to work i would look at starting melbourne or sydney if your coming in november as thats the start of the busy season until through till march.
then after season head up east coast or up the centre then work in darwin for dry season
