Hi all,

If you were able to meet, and talk with, any 3 people who would you choose?

1) Any 3 living people?
2) Any 3 dead people? (probably harder to arrange ;) )

Right off the top of my head...

Living People:

Nelson Mandela
Dalai Lama (current one of course)
Madeleine Albright (former Secretary of State-US)

Dead people:
Princess Diana (about her humanitarian work)
M. Ghandi
Mother Theresa of Calcutta

Hi Anne,

Madeleine Albright doesn't seem to fit the mold of the other 5. Why does she intrique you?

I read her autobiography last year...big, thick, fat book...I got it for Christmas in 2003 and it just sat there for awhile. I finally picked it up and read it fully.

She has had an amazing life, Czech born, an immigrant just like me. I share many of her beliefs (did I mention I am a democrat? ). I think it is fact that she is someone I can identify myself with more than anything...she is a tough smart woman, a role model in my opinion, her education and achievements are something to be envied...

1) Michael Palin (that guy could really help me with my trip)
2) Kurt Vonnegut
3) Leonard Cohen (alternatively, someone from TP)

1) James Joyce
2) Like Anne, I would like to meet Ghandi
3) My great grandfather - he died when I was too young to know him really. He fought at the Battle of the Somme, among others. I would have liked to hear about his life.

1) Christopher Walken (I love the way he talks),
Josh Hartnett (How cute is he?),
Heath Ledger (How cute is HE?!)

2) River Pheonix (I had posters of him all over my walls when I was a teenager. When I was 15, I had a boyfriend who looked just like him, only taller and had a better body; I was the envy of all my friends.),
Jim Morrison (I'm a big fan of The Doors),
my paternal grandmother (she died when I was 4, so I never got to know her; apparently she was a beautiful and formidable person)
