That sounds like a GREAT trip! When are you leaving? I'm not sure where to start to help you really.
If you're going to California, I can help a little. Can give you buckets of help for Italy! Just send me a PM with your rough dates and what sort of budget you're on and Ill send you back as much info as I can.
Your itinerary sounds very good to me I'd definately recommend that you spend those days in Barcelona, Spain. Stay in a hostel recommended in your guidebook- don't stay at a pension (someone's appartment), even if it's in the old town which is cheap. When you are there, see all of Gaudi's archetecture- it is amazing!! Bring your camera. Take a taxicar up to the place of the Barcelona winter Olympics, too. It's free.
Hi! thats really great! I live in Geneva at the moment, so this is my comment slash advice. Travelling Switzerland is very expensive, and there is not that much to see in Geneva, so my advice is try to see other parts of switzerland if you want or just go somewhere else but 5 days in Geneva, just to be here? that is kind of alot. Just letting ya know. Hope i was of some help! goodluck
I am Lee from Malaysia. I am wondering why you spend 6 days in Singapore whereby you may drop in some interesting spots in Malacca/Penang/Borneo as well?
For good hostel recommendations in Europe, I usually use the Graffiti Wall at www.ricksteves.com.
If you have time while in the UK, Scotland is wonderful! The train ride from London Kingscross up to Edinburgh is very pretty, and the hostels in Scotland are all wonderful. I really like Rowardennan on the eastern side of Loch Lomond. Very comfortable!
skip milan and instead i would go to venice!!!!
hey, that sounds so cool...i'm also doing camp america in California this summer, and have never really travelled before other than family holidays and package deals. I plan to stay in America for a month after I've finished and travel back accross to New York before flying back to the UK...cant really give any advice due to my travelling inexperience just thought we could share any info on California...whereabouts are you going? I'm in San Jose...
