1) If you could see any animal "in the wild" which would you most want to see?

2) Of all the animals that you have seen in the wild (non-captive), which has been your favorite?

Really want to see a clouded leopard in the wild. I fed and cleaned them at my old workplace, but to see them wild.....well i'd be one of the few humans that had and it'd just be.....well bloody amazing. Oh and a whale shark, and Orangutans. Them mostly but i'm sure there's more, can't really say as i dunno every animal.

That i've seen? Out of captivity? Pretty much nothing. The places i've been havent exactly been teeming with fauna. Red deer in Holland i suppose.

1) Leopard

2) The most exciting sighting I had so far was the Sitatutangas we've seen in Nsumbu National Park. Sitatunga is a very rare semi aquatic Antelope that are only found in few places in Africa.

The list is too long, Jeff...

1) Elephant & black leopard (equally desirable)

2) Antelope herd in Wyoming

2a) White-tailed deer and wild turkeys stopping to eat in our yard
2b) Red-tailed hawks nesting in our tree (w/chick(s) yearly)
2c) Coyotes crossing the field 50 yds away

I want to see killer whales...NOT in captivity!

heheh, does having a deer in your house count?......Moose, black bear, wolves, coyotes, bob cats, cougars, badgers, bald eagles...you name it! And if you name it, it has either been in my house, or run through my
backyard;)

Quoting Travel100

Gretchen,

Especially for you:

What sort Fish have you seen? Anything unusual or dangerous (sharks, octapus, etc??)

1) Caribbean spotted drum fish. (Small and quite shy. A treat if you find one - we found 2 - but the pics are blurred.)
2) Cuttlefish - a line of 10 all swimming together about 6 inches apart. Very cool!
3) A small reef shark snoozing in a crevice. (Not seen larger ones.)
4) Very large green and moray eels
5) Small octopi
6) A large school of grunts - numbering in the thousands - looked as thoght the ocean floor was moving - then they surrounded us.
7) Several large rays
8) There's more but this will cover it some..

9) One of the coolest things was the smallest. During night dives, we use a good sized "flashlight". The small plankton absorb the light. When you turn the light off, it looks like a snowstorm all around you - because of the phosphorescence. It's magical and I'm always awe-struck by it.

What I want to see: sloth, lemurs and kangaroo.

Best I have seen: Cheetah in Tanzania, Magellan Penguins in Chile and Squirel Monkeys in Costa Rica.
