Jordanmr1990 has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

What are the best hotels/hostels for its moneys worth?

Hey Jordan, which part of Thailand are you looking at? I've booked apartments through -snip-before, and I felt it was value for money. I mean, why not pay slightly more for a place of your own, that you won't have to share with others? I think they have apartments in Phuket and Bangkok, I'm not sure.

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

Try the usual candidates: hostelbookers, booking.com. agoda, asiarooms, etc. If going in the high season, December to April, book early. Check on facilities. Asia is often hot and humid and a fan or air conditioning is good. Also check location to places you want to visit and public transport.

For hostels you can book on Travellerspoint! I also find Booking.com very good, with lots of variety and better prices than most of the other hotel websites.

Are you looking to book somewhere in Thailand?

Hi bex76

Yeah looking to book somewhere in Bangkok for the 26th of august any suggestions where I should book?

I'd recommend somewhere in the Soi Rambuttri area - it's close to Khao San Road but is a bit quieter. There are loads of budget guesthouses on and around that street. I stayed at 2 - one called Bella Bella and one called My House which were both really good; that was a few years ago now though so they may well have changed names.

This article has some good recommendations.

(You usually get what your budget allows.)

For hotel help include your price range. Start by planning a budget out and see how much per night you can afford for your room. Then find a room in your price range. August should be no problem finding a place often with a walk-in. Arriving late in Bangkok it might be better to have a few hotel suggestions to head for.

Since you mention apartment and not hotel room, how many people with you?

For Bangkok, Suk 11 Hostel is popular for some travelers with less spending money. Not in KSR area, Sukhumvit Road, Nana area. This area has hotels in all price ranges, malls, good restaurants, pubs, beer bars and other nightlife. You can also use the Skytrain in this area. Only you know if your budget is big enough for private rooms in cheap hotels.

There are some hotels on this link:

There are serviced apartments available too in Bangkok.
