Welcome to TravellersPoint,NZTRAVLA ... You had actually posted one NOT some travel messages where is the best place to go in Australia before you posted in the "Off Topic" forum BEWARE OF THE 4 LEGGED CHICKEN . James posted a reply to your Australia thread about six (6) minutes before I reported your Chicken thread. This meant, that in your mind you felt good about one reply for a maximum of six (6) minutes.

Quoting Forum Rules

We want this forum to be a pleasant place for all our users, so here are the rules we ask you to abide by:
1. NO swearing, derogatory or inflammatory remarks are allowed. Any such comments will simply be deleted by admin or moderators.

The Spam Button

Only Respected Members and Travel Gurus are given the option to flag posts as spam. Otherwise it would be too open to abuse.

To spam or not to spam...?Of course, Respected Members and Travel Gurus do make mistakes. The Administrators / Moderators have the final say. It will be interesting see what the final decision is in your case.

TP Administrator Peter had previously asked me, as a Travel Guru, to post an explanation if the reason wasn't obvious when I reported something as spam. So far as I was aware, only the Administrators / Moderators would be able to view the reporting member's comments. At the moment, I can't find where I got this idea from. However, I am sure it was brought up recently. If I am wrong, then please accept my humble apologies.

If the situation described above is correct, then I too am "peeved off with this site". The comment I posted was intended to be confidential and not for the viewing of other members, especially budding ones such as yourself. I can appreciate how insensitive my comments would appear in an open forum.

With respect to "...dont be so serious dude..." ,if you follow This Link, you may read that I too have been previously been questioned when it comes to making "necessary" or unnecessary comments in an "Off Topic" forum.

For the sake of clarification only, I'll explain why I added this comment after I reported your "BEWARE OF THE 4 LEGGED CHICKEN" joke(?)

Pathetic first effort

So far as I recall, the content of your thread went something like "... Ha ha I fooled you ..."

[Nothing else]

When all is said & done, I guess that if NZTRAVLA is seriously "peeved off with this site", he won't be back to read any more comments anyhow.

Quoting Sam I Am

"...Yep, we can override a post that's been flagged as spam and put the thread back live. Generally we'll get the drift of what you figured was spam and would edit the post if we agree but still think parts of it could be live.

A reply would help sometimes if it's a really vague case, only the other respected members/travel gurus would be able to see it anyway besides us of course and we'd remove it if we decided to put the thread back live..."

Okay, I obviously should have tested that before claiming it. As you've noticed, replies (no matter from who) are actually visible. Of course, as these replies should also follow the forum rules, they shouldn't be hurtful but I can understand where this mistake came from. My apologies as I understand that wocca would never have posted that if he thought it was going to be live. It does illustrate nicely that keeping it nice is always the best way I guess :)

Apologies NZTravla!

For Respected members and Guru's future reference, there's no good reason to flag such posts as spam, particularly if posted in the Off Topic Forum. There is no rule against this (although it is kind of annoying when members post dozens of them at once, but that was clearly not the case here).

To be honest, I found the thread kind of amusing when I first saw it
