hey jonno, Just popping in here to say I'll be staying at wake up for christmas and new year too, recently booked flights to oz for october after a year of saying I was going to, to then find most hostels already fully booked for christmas, didn't realise you had to plan that far in advance :S

luckily wake up had beds free and looks decent, so should be good times. will be good to know someone else who is also there solo over the festive period!

I've booked natesplace backpackers until 23rd December just waiting on their Christmas prices to book for that period. Does anyone know of Natesplace? Havnt read a bad review about it anywhere it looks great! So cheap too, bit surprised no-one has mentioned it on here!?

I have looked at nates place as somewhere to stay for a bit when I arrive, but haven't booked anything yet as also looking at others around the same price.. does look pretty sweet tho with a good rooftop area! didn't show on hostelbookers search for the christmas period so I just went for wakeup as looked good value compared to the others available!

I'll be arriving in Sydney in October and travelling about a but then plan to be back in Sydney for Christmas and New Year. Nice to keno there's other people in the same boat, would be good to chat and ease the nerves of solo travelling!

Last january, I went to Sydney and stayed at Lido suites hotel, i'll recommend it because of its great location, its near the kings cross station and a lot of restaurants nearby
