Ummmmm, after much deliberating I've come up with one

My favorite quote, from my favorite book, is by Mr. Charles Dickens from his masterpiece "Great Expectations." It is spoken by the character Estella.

"Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching.... I have been bent and broken, but?I hope?into a better shape."

It reminds me to put a good face on the bad things that have happened in my life - for without them, I wouldn't be the person I am today. And wouldn't have the courage to do the things I like to do.

Not really a good life quote, but I also like this from Douglas Adams' book Mostly Harmless, "Even travelling despondently is better than arriving here."

"I blame society for anything I've said that you disagree with".

Just because you can never please everyone and there will always someone who misreads a situation so why worry about it ......

"It's better to burn out than it is to fade away."

"The only ones who fail are those who do not try"

"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."

"Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants to see us happy." --Benjamin Franklin

"Did you know that 83% of all statistical quotes are made up? " hehehe this goes with me and my job ;)

I think I heard this one in a movie, forget which one though:

"Life is like a patio door, you never know which side is open and which side is closed... and then you walk into the glass!"

OK... some more.. if your interested...

Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared....

A friend is someone who walks in...when the whole world has walked out...

A bird does not sing because it has an answer..it sings because it has a song..ahhhhhh :)

I love this one ...

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Scared Monkee

words and music by Eric Idle

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...
