So, I posted a question on Canada, and then a few second later recieved this email message:

Hi Greg,

GregW has started a thread in the forum called : "Montreal - Best area of town to stay in..." discussing Canada, which you are a Travel Helper for.

<rest of email deleted>

Umm, I already knew that I had started a thread.

If you are looking for future enhancements, not emailing people who start the thread could go on the list. (Obviously not a very big priority, I know, but I thought I would mention it).

And on the topic of system stuff (and cause I saw this and am too lazy to create a new thread):

Can we post a picture (or link to a picture) within a thread? Not a link to a web site, but to a specific picture? I've seen Sam or Peter do this (the lovely chocolates and monkey masseuseurs...), but have no idea how. Maybe it's an admin thing...?

There has to be a way to do it Tway, cos Brendan did it with the pictures of Rayme. So, how do we do that voodoo that you two do so well??

Fair point Greg, I guess I hadn't built it in for the travel help notification, because that's usually not used by people who are helpers themselves for the country in question. I'll add it to the list :)

For the photos, what you need to do is find out the location of the photo and then just use the xx code as normal. To find the location of the picture, first click to enlarge it, then do a right click on the image and select 'view image' (or something similar in your browser). Then, you just need to copy and paste what's in the address bar.

You can also usually just figure it out.. the location will be like this userid)/(filename).jpg

Hope that helps.

Thanks Pete! Yes, that helps a lot (for me anyway).

Thank you, Peter! I'll try that...
