Thanks everybody, I've got information overload. As cost is not an issue we're going to either go with NiCE or Aeroliner coaches. Am I right in that NiCE drop you off at KL Sentral station where the train would drop you off in KL ? Where does Aeroliner drop you in KL ? (wasn't sure from their web site)

Mostly, if not all the buses drop u at Puduraya Bus terminal, but i've seen passengers getting off earlier. I walked from the bus station to KL Sentral before, quite a distance. If not just grab a cab.

Aeroline drops u at Corus Hotel,Jalang Ampang,KL. Its in the website infact. See map .

Hope that helps.

I intend to go to the JB Larkin bus station early Friday morning and take one of the comfortable VIP coaches to KL.

Does anyone know, from past experience, if I'll able to get tickets on the spot? Or do I need to book in advance? How do I book in advance from Singapore?

I dun think so, even though there is, not very "decent" one you will get. You can either buy it on the spot at Golden Mile (Singapore)or at Waterfront Plaza(VIP coach-Aeroline)

just try these bus called Aeroline, check 'em out at www.aeroline.com.my only takes 5 to 5 1/2 hours with the bus, no matter how the traffic is! it'll cost you 80 ringgit, or same as US$20, it's a double decker modern luxury bus, no hassle, straight from KLCC at Corus hotel, end at Harbour Front Singapore! Try it!

for me.. I tried both train and bus...

I guess it depends on what you wanted... I think that the train may offer more places on its path to see unlike on bus where you only see the highway..

the bus is more confortable and may provide quicker means to get to KL though..
