Hi all,

I've been looking for how to apply for a Chinese visa. I'm 20, British female and I'm going travelling.

I'm planning on travelling to China from Japan and I think I'm gonna stay between Beijing and Bangkok for about a month.

Any advice about how, when where to apply? Etc.

Here's the Foreign Office page on China. It has a link to the Chinese embassy for visas.

That's the official site, though you may find the advice on the Real Russia agency website a bit easier:

also keep in mind you can get a visa in hong kong for much much less. we get ripped off for the visa over here. something like £120 or more, yet you can get a visa in hong kong for $25

thats what i will be doing next year
