I did read your posts Katzgar, I simply think you're being sucked in by 3M's advertising.
If you truly believe that their 35% DEET formula is somehow magically different from all the other big pharpa 35% DEET formulas that are available then that's fine, but in my opinion you're being naive. "Time release formulation" is simply adversing copy. My deodorant claims the very same thing.
No big deal. Perhaps you're right and I'm simply too cynical. Makes no difference either way and I apologise for ruffling your feathers.
Ultrathon was developed for the US military to last up to 12 hours. I dont mind opinions just back it up with facts.
Katzgar, honestly, with all due respect you're digging yourself even deeper. Your so-called "facts" are coming from a commercial website selling travel supplies. Their advertising copy is meaningless. Don't fall for commercial marketing, it's not real.
If you want facts then dig up peer reviewed tests from independent sources that aren't commercial companies that have hired an advertising firm to sell you the product.
I really am digging myself no where. I have stated a fact and you have yet to show it wrong. Are you an Avon lady?
The US Army has been using ultrathon since the 1940s and part of the spec for the product is it last up to 12 hours has nothing to do with commercialism or advertising

Don't take mosquito bites casually. It could be very dangerous as you may get life threatening diseases such as Malaria and Dengue. Use mosquito repellent creams like Odomos. You can get many kinds of mosquito repellents in India. I highly recommend you wear full sleeve shirt and full jeans with socks and light gloves in adverse case where you can't find the mosquito repellent. Have a great journey!
here is info from the CDC on repelents...
