So, I'm off on my next adventure again, and could use some advice. I'm heading to Morocco for a total of 8 days, with the following as our current plan:
Day 1 - morning Arrival in Casablanca, rental car and drive to Chefchaouen
Day 2 - Chefchaouen, possibly leave for Fez in the afternoon / evening.
Day 3 - Day in Fez. Car rental return. (alternatively we spend the night of Day 2 in Chefchaouen and drive out in the morning for the afternoon / evening only in Fez)
Day 4 - Depart Fez on 3 day tour to Marrakech
Day 5 - Tour through the desert
Day 6 - Tour through the desert, arrive in Marrakech
Day 7 - Marrakech
Day 8 - Marrakech, fly home
Yes, I know this is a lot in a short period of time. But the blue city (Chefchaouen) and the tour through the desert were top priorities for us, and time was (unfortunately) limited.
So, my question is, we can spend less time in Fez and more time in Chefchaouen or more time in Chefchaouen and less time in Fez. Do you have any suggestions for which is better? We're also open to suggestions for the best places to stop and break up the drive between casablanca (about 4 hours) to Chefchaouen, or back to Fez (about 3 hours). Or not to miss places in Marrakech / Fez / Chefchaouen while we're there?
Cheers & thanks in advance!
