Sorry to be slow to respond. Was pretty sure I couldn't write anything coherent after I originally read this. As it seems too many of us know, losing a parent is beyond rough and my heart goes out to you. Your father is such a lovely man (so lovely it's hard to believe he raised you ;)) and I'm glad I had the pleasure of meeting him. My advice: spend as much time as you can with him, do it as soon as possible (the end comes quicker than you'd think no matter how long it is), and, if possible, take an audio recording of him (sounds weird, but trust me on this - you'll remember what he looked like, the time you spent with him, things he'd say, but how his voice sounds will be just out of reach). Much love and big hugs to you, Sana, the kids, and the rest of your family. And please tell your father I send my regards!

He's at home now, with perhaps a week or two left with us.

Dad's funeral was Monday of this week.

As funeral's go, it was a good send off.
