Travel - Withdrawn Criminal Charges

Travel Forums Europe Travel - Withdrawn Criminal Charges

My girlfriend and i are booking flights to Europe & UK for a holiday however she was charged a few years ago for criminal damage (less than $500). Long story but the charges were withdrawn subject to payment for repairs. There was no conviction, no punishment, and the matter was finalised prior to reaching the magistrate.

Do we need to organise a visa? She is Australian, so no visa is typically required for tourists.

I know europe is generally an open door for the far majority, but what about the UK? She doesn't think she needs a visa, but it would be a bit of a lonely trip without her if she got turned back.

Any assistance/clarification would be great. There seems to be a lot of contradictory information floating around the net.

Forget it ever happened. Wipe it from your memory banks.

Have fun.

PS But if someone asks, don't lie.

Have a look at this Australians going to the UK.

It provides a link to the UK immigration UK & that takes you to a page that says an Australian tourist does not need a visa but to take along some documents the UK entry official might want to see.

Sorry, didn't see hasbeen's post. Internet is slow here in Cuba.

In any case your info is incorrect, sofiaalissa4.
