Links: How to make them Clickable ?

Travel Forums System Talk Links: How to make them Clickable ?

When I copy and paste a web page address like this for example:

http://www.cdc.gov/travel/

How come mine doesn't become a clickable link? I see lots of links, in the forums, that are orange color and you can simply click on them. When I post a web page address a person would have to copy the address and enter reenter it to go to the page.

Is there a way to make a web address that I post become a clickable link?

you must be simply pasting and copying the url.

use the help tab at the top right hand corner when posting a message.

Basically you have to use the code. can't do an example obviously, but it's easily explained in the help tab.

have a play and preview your entry before you submit it. If the link works, it will be as you see links in other peoples posts (ie in orange).

Thanks Dave,

That's exactly what I was doing "copying and pasting." I Never noticed the "Help" tab at the top. It all looks simple enough. Thanks again.

In case people don't want to view the 'help' tag, here is the code :)

LINKS: [ url ]http://www.domain.com[ /url ]

That will make the following appear and be clickable: http://www.domain.com

LINKS (WITH LINK TEXT): [ url=http://www.domain.com ]LINK TEXT[ /url ]

That will make the following appear as clickable LINK TEXT with a link to www.domain.com

Someone asked me yesterday what the difference is between orange and purple links. In case anyone else is wondering, the purple links are ones you've already clicked on in the 'recent' past. You computer tracks this for you.....

Sam
ps. you'll have to remove the spaces I put before the ] and after the [ for the links to work

[ Edit: ps added ]
