We have booked our honeymoon - 4th May - 16th May, arriving to Hanoi and departing from Ho Chi Minh.
I was thinking of the following itinerary:
04/05 - 9am arrival to Hanoi, spend the day in the city
05/05 - Hanoi
06/05 - Hanoi to Halong Bay
07/05 - Halong Bay to Hanoi
08/05 - Early morning flight to Da Nang, spend the day to China beach and then go to spend the night to Hue.
09/05 - Spend the day to Hue and in the afternoon go to Hoi An
10/05 - Hoi An
11/05 - Hoi An
12/05 - Early morning flight to Ho Chi Ming
13/05 - Ho Chi Minh
14/05 - Mekong Delta & Floating Market
15/05 - Return to Ho Chi Minh and spend the day there
16/05 - 12:45pm departure flight
Is the whole trip too rushed and should we spend more / less time on any of the places? We would like to have some relaxing time on the beach but also visit the cities, museums, monuments etc.
It is still early stages of the planning so your suggestions / tips would be appreciated!

Welcome to Vietnam.
As 2 people above have told you all the things needed. I just want to add that traveling to Vietnam is quite nice, however, there's a chance you'd experience pocket-picking, thief, ... and the "foreign price". Vietnamese sellers have 2 price, 1 for the locals and 1 for tourists (especially foreigners). So, the best idea is to have a Vietnamese tour guide who is smart. If you're not sure what to do in Vietnam, I'd suggest bringing your best camera 'cause Vietnam has amazing scenery which are perfect for photographers. If you need any help feel free to contact me. I am an Vietnamese and I travelled a lot

Hi. This is a perfect itinerary for your honeymoon trip in Vietnam but a bit pity because you don't have plan to Sapa!.
Have a good luck!
Thank you guys for those suggestions. I am also planning to go to Vietnam together with my wife this year and honestly I don't have any idea on how to enjoy a 3 day trip there. I know 3 days is short but would like to really explore Vietnam even if the time is too limited. Any suggestions please?
Hi, Yes, that's very short time to travel to Vietnam but sometime we have no choice. I think you should consider about 2 days cruising trip in Halong bay or 2 days 1 nights trip in Sapa! Good luck!
