So my friends and I are planning to leave our country of birth and travel to another country but we really haven't traveled aboard together. So we're very confused where we want to go and what we even should do once in said country.
First thing you should know about us is that we love adventure, we've been up and down the UK doing all sort of activities but now it's time to leave and explore a little however we don't really know what country is our calling. We've checked Germany, Portugal, Sweden but nothing (Maybe i'm looking in the wrong places) we're looking to travel sometime in the month of June. So if anyone has any advice or tips I would appreciate it.
Hey Oatmeal Lover,
I think its a great idea to go about and see something different than you are used to.
If you have the money and a bit of time on your hands I would explore South America or Africa. I think these are some of the most diverse places you can visit especially if you are looking for a new experience.
Why don't you think about going on Safari in East Africa .

I would suggest to go Bali, Indonesia. Bali is a great place that feel likes a fantasy, white sand, dive along coral ridges. It is also called "Artistic Capital" of Ubud, this is a perfect place to see cultural dance, silversmithing workshop, yoga classes.
I'd suggest you to come Australia and add glam in your travel journey. Here, June is the coldest month and a perfect time to explore the places. You can hire a campervan or Motorhome to visit the different places.
Have a nice journey ahead!
Hello, have you considered Ibiza for your trip? Ibiza is always great for groups: you have the adventurous part of it in hiking, bike trails and water sports, you have the glamour in all the exquisite cafe shops and clubs on the coastline, you can get your fun from all the parties and gatherings of the season, and the culture & history can be explored by visiting all the interesting landmarks of the island, the hippy markets and the inland shops. June is great for all of these things, good luck in deciding where you want to go!
raft the colorado river through the grand canyon...
go on a wilderness canoe trip...

How long do you have? If you only have a week, going to South America or Oz would be quite difficult, but with 3 months going further afield gives you a lot more options.
What are you all interested in? If your interests are varied and you have longer time frames, it may be prudent to split up at various points in your travels before meeting up again.
I would suggest that you each individually consider what you want to do and come back together to discuss, as travelling together abroad is very different to a weekend trip here or there, and if your interests vary widely it would be better to know that up-front so you can plan accordingly than halfway through the trip, particularly if you are going for an extended period of time
You don't say if you and your friends are all male or all female or mixed. I suspect you are not retirees since most older travelers have an idea what they like. Some recommendations may be more useful for women and some more useful for males. But this is the 21st century where women are flying jet fighters and guys are playing "Mr. Mom."
Need more info from you. You should have some sort of a budget in mind, you should already have passports and know how long you will be on your holiday. (For some destinations flying round trip may be cheaper than buying two one way flights. This means you should have an end date.)
You have to do some research on visa requirements. Some destinations may require "proof of onward travel." This usually means a plane ticket home or to another country.
Only you know what "adventure" means to you. Even if it is hopping out of planes or getting wasted in bars chasing bar girls or renting gigolos. For some tourists eating new food and sunbathing is an adventure. (For some countries "safety" for some active adventure sports may not be enforced as much as the UK, Canada or the US. Tourists do die para-sailing, on dives, bad bungee jumps or parachuting. Have good medical insurance!
You narrow down what country appeals to you. Then with a laptop or some computer with a screen larger than a phone choose Google and enter "things to see and do" for that country. My opinion using a computer with a larger screen you can have several windows open comparing hotel prices and locations on a map even flight schedules, etc. Look at a map of the country you may have an interest in and do a Google search for how to get from one city to the next stop. Sometimes even the cost of transportation can be approximated this way. But you still have to verify accuracy of any search.
My suggestion is Thailand. Good transportation, excellent tourist structure, good food, easy to get around in. Cheaper than many countries. From Thailand you can visit Cambodia, Laos or Malaysia. Thailand is popular with all sorts of budgets from backpacker - thrift tourists to all the way up to rich tourists.
Most travel forums have information sections for "see and do" type information.
Yea I agree with Roger You guys can explore Bali ( Indonesia). Bali is covered with mountains so surely its amazing experience for hiking.
