Travel Forums Asia Anyone ever gone back?

Hi all,
About 18 months ago I travelled Asia for 7 months. Had the most amazing time and met the most incredible people...
12 months back in the UK and the pictures that used to put a smile of my face now remind me what I am missing and how fun life was without work, ties, responsibility etc...
Would it be stupid to do it all again? As in similar / same countries but different itinerary obviously. Would it be completely different ? Would it be disappointing if it doesn't live up to my memories?! Should they just be that, memories? Perhaps I should head to central / South America instead and start another adventure !
Thoughts and input welcome!

I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you go back. I revisit places that I like. But it's also good to spread your wings and try new destinations. Every trip is different. But while the destinations may change, what really matters is what you make of each journey, including a willingness to make friends; and a desire to discover and learn new things. You’ll encounter many rigors on the road; and how you adapt and deal with them also will help determine how enjoyable your adventure will be. I have never been disappointed in any of my trips; and I’ve crisscrossed the globe for years. Go for it!
