What? And spoil all the fun Jeff??

I invite you to come on a hair-raising drive around the ring of Kerry with me at the wheel! I promise you it will be a trip you'll never forget! LOL!!

I would suggest doing both -- some rail, some driving.
Big cities can be some what of a hassle to drive in (if you
aren't familiar with them) and parking can be a pain.

When I was in Italy (touring Rome and then the south), I
took the train from Rome to Naples, then the ferry from
Naples to Parlermo, Sicily. We stayed in Parlermo for 3
days and picked up a car on the last day to tour the rest
of Sicily. Since I live in New York, I don't own a car
and do not drive on a regular basis. Driving in Sicily
was quite an experience, but I don't regret it. Like you
stated I was able to go to all sorts of remote villages,
that weren't very touristy. We had an excellent time.
But driving in the cities wasn't necessary, so it worked
out to use the trains then.

Hi Eve,

I'm considering the offer but am a little conflicted. On the one hand I'd really like to meet you :) and would also like to see the "Ring of Kerry". On the other hand that part about "me at the wheel" combined with that big green grin has me kind of nervous .
