Poorest country in the world.
People are negative and racist.
Indian girls are proud.
The only job you will get is a slum serving job in an NGO.
They are charging income tax on everything.
Prices are high while salaries are low.

Just travelled in India and feeling highly nostalgic about it! Indeed, there are many poor people and you cannot do much to help them. But the country is beautiful, people are good and sincere, food is spicy, sometimes spicy to tears, but very interesting. After we have left India, we are missing its authenticity, because in mayn other countries, you just get the digested package of touristic things, whereas India has a living culture. In some countries, you need to research the guidebooks, in order to see smth. traditional, you are brought to "cultural shows" for a fortune and that is not even close to the real culture. In India, however, it is enough to go to the street and you see so much of colorful, different life around you, you see how people do their works, etc. This is highly interesting. You will not find so many diverse things in any other country! Someone told a very true thing about India: you either love it or hate it. So we loved it a lot, although it took a few days to adapt to the pace and noise :) Another true statement is that India is different for everyone: depends on where you go, what you notice and how you react to it. Incredible India, we miss you so much and will definitely come back!

Taj Mahal is a sight to behold :)

Yes, indeed!

But it was even more magical when I first visited on June 12, 1974. According to my diary, while it was hot outside, it was cool inside. There were oil lamps. Candles and incense were burning on and below the cenotaphs. Attendants gave each visitor two jasmine blossoms; and called out so you could hear the beautiful echo.

I returned on Nov. 17, 2014. The Taj is still magical, but some of the romance was missing.

I have nothing but to laugh at your ignorance and prejudicial hatred towards My India, One of the Most Beautiful Countries in the World :)
