Just wonderin as Im considering going to cuba with some mates. How off the beaten track is it? IS it mostly package holidays or is it easy to get away from?? If you want to add your opinion on whether I should go to argentina, or turkey on my own, or cuba with two friends that might start to annoy me..... I've got 3 - 4 weeks.... help!

I went to Cuba for 1 month last summer with a couple of mates and had an awsome time. we just flew into havana and then made r way round about half of the island. hitchhiking, taxis and bus mainly. most of it really is of the beaten track but that makes is so much better, local famalies rent out rooms in their houses where ever you go, so u really do see their way of life. we didnt speak any spanish so found it a bit hard at times but u always find a way to get by. there r some tourist areas which we visited just for the water sports and a bit of banter really.

u should go to cuba, i'm sure u wont b let down.

I liked Cuba. I personally didn't get to spend enough time in Havana. I think a 2-3 days in Havana would be perfect.

It's not all package tourists, and most of the all-inclusive groups tend not to get off the resort or away from the tour bus most of the time.

Argentina is great too, though, and definately you wouldn't find trouble filling 4 weeks of things to do.
