Did you allow for the time difference when you calculated 5am ?
Oops, I was referring to Malaysian time!!!
My mind have been set to automatically calculate the post time difference to Malaysian time, and I've forgotten to convert it back to Irish time!
This means Eve's post was actually posted at 10pm Irish time.
Sorry Eve, you're not really a night owl after all.
What else could E possibly get up to at 10pm on a Saturday night?
Maybe she was playing naked Twister?!?
...I also just like being up at night because most other people are gone to bed, and the world is much quieter...
That's the same way I feel, I like that feeling of being awake when the rest of the nearby World is asleep.
Being on Safari in Africa was a little bit of a stuggle as I had to wake up every morning before 5am .
I'm not a morning person as such but i'm a very early riser, i'd be up early to catch the sunrise ( or as i crawl home from a party), i tend the burn the candle at both ends for weeks on end and then pass out for a few days.
I'm a morning person, through and through. I rarely get to bed before midnight, though, so I sometimes feel like I'm dragging myself around. I love the feel of having the whole day ahead of me.
I used to be a night person. But, like Raven, betweeen work and personal time, I was burning the candle both ways. Now, I'm a morning person and find it hard to stay up past 10pm. I preferred being the night owl, but this works too. Both have their advantages/disadvantages.
I am night owl. I'm very grumpy in the morning. I wont ever greet you with breakfast in bed unless I'm after something.
In the context of travel that's bad I suppose for obvious reasons such as getting around, sightseeing, etc....but on the other hand, you meet most ppl in a hostel/campsite in the evening, and it's good to be able to stay up into the small hours of the morning. THats when you get to know most people.....
I also just like being up at night because most other people are gone to bed, and the world is much quieter. And some things look much better in the dark.....
My same exact response...down to...things look much better in the dark...
I'm a night person. I get up late and stay up late (my job screws up my lifestyle, but that's just an excuse ) Imagine my horror when I went to Holland and found out shops etc closed at 6pm It meant I had to adjust my body clock and get up early (which was very difficult) so that I could take in the sights.
I function a lot better at night. Mornings are non-existent to me, and on days that I'm not working, I can be found sleeping way till late afternoon.
It depends on what I have to do the next day. But usually Im more of a night owl. I get my second wind around 1130pm. When I travel, I seem to have more energy, I love to be out and about. If I sit still for too long then I usually will pass out. So If I keep moving I am like the energizer bunny. just keep going and going...
