Oh come on Camaro, everyone judges people every day. What world do you live in?
I get really tired of people who try to suggest you don't have a right to judge other people. Says who? You? If somone pulls out a gun and shoots someone, do you go around saying, 'we shouldn't judge them, we don't know the whole story, etc.'
We do have the right to judge people based on their actions. If someone does something that is contrary to the public good, that's a bad thing and that makes them a 'bad person'. There is no if, and or but about that. If someone knowingly contributes to something bad that they could easily have avoided doing, I don't call that 'their trip of a lifetime', I call it wrong.
Just because someone wants to do something doesn't make it OK for them to do it. Let's try the shoe on another foot. If I decide to take a road trip down 'Route 66' and call it a 'trip of a lifetime', what will you say if I also choose to throw litter out of my car window as I go along? Will you say people shouldn't judge me by my actions?
We all have a right to judge people and their actions if they impact other people and the world in an adverse way. It's far too easy to use a trite comment about 'not judging' to look away from something rather than confronting it. To paraphrase a well known saying, 'all it takes is for good men to do nothing.' You are suggesting I should look away and that is not what I do. I call it like I see it.
