Travel Forums North America Esta Help - Husband so stupid!!

So

DH has filled out a group Esta for us and two children however went through esta-registrations.co.uk at a cost of £116.00!'

No immediate Esta and at their mercy they process before we travel on Sat! If we apply again through the correct site and then they apply at some point will that screw up our Estas?

From a seriously stressed mum of two!

esta-registrations.co.uk.co.uk doesn't seem to be live.

If you mean esta-registration.co.uk, this article in the Guardian newspaper suggests it's a scam. http://www.theguardian.com/money/2015/jun/06/copycat-esta-websites-us-visitors

According to that newspaper article, the real site is http://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta , though a good way to know you're in the right place is look through the Foreign Office website at fco.gov.uk and find links to the genuine visa service there. But it should be fixable - the article says allow 72 hours so you're ok, and $14 isn't too painful (if that's up to date).

But I doubt a scam site is going to get you your estas. :-(

The company/website he has used is the one mentioned in the article :/. Repaying is not my main concern I was scared if I did the Esta through the correct website and then the company who have charged us £116.00 try to submit a subsequant application would that cancel out the application we did through the correct website?

Scared to death that somethinf may go wrong.

Just thought I would update the thread however for future reference Ibwould like to know what I posted wrong for the thread to come under review?

DH called said company that charged £116.00 and said they only had details submitted for three of us and he was not on their system? He explained situation and they agreed to refund and cancel the order. We have recieved email saying money has been refunded so fingers crossed they do.

Went to the real site and all ESTAs authorised! Morale of the story - dont let hubby near laptop lol.

Thank you to those that took time to reply.

.

You did not do anything wrong - it was someones response that was referred for review. I am curious to know what the response was but will never know now.

Hope everything goes a bit smoother for you from now on.

The removed comment was due to some not-nice words being used. Very much not in the spirit of what we want this forum to be like, so it has been removed.

Good to see your ESTAs are sorted now. :)
