I had my Canadian IEC visa approved in February and have 12 months to enter the country. My plan is to head to Toronto first (as its the shortest flight) September time and then travel for a while but I have nothing set in stone. I'd love to do some road trips and travel across the country, working as and when I need to or during the winter months. Is anyone else heading to Canada this year and thinking of doing the same? I would love to find some like minded people / females so I don't have to go it alone!
Also, if anyone knows of any good canadian tours and job sites please can you post the links / details
My name is Nella & i am 24 years old.
Canada was always my big dream & I would love to go &I travel around, work when needed of course.
Would you even consider to talk to me about the trip & maybe we could plan things together?
Thats cool, have you got your IEC visa or are you just going on a travel visa? Also, When are thinking of going and what are you planning to do?
Charlotte may I ask how long were you in the pools before you got your invitation!?
I just want that invite!!
Thank You :-)
I think I was in the pool for about 4 weeks... I applied at the beginning of December and had my VISA approved beginning of February :-)
I know things have gone quiet but there was an update posted on the CIC website this week about the next round of IEC invitations -
Fingers crossed you get your invite!
Thanks for your quick reply!.. I applied just towards the end of December! .. I hope it comes I keep thinking, have I filled out wrong! But hey ..The Secret will provide XD
Hey if it does, I'll be in touch... I've booked Bali so far don't know where i'm going from there ha!
Your welcome! I'm sure its fine so keep an eye out from Monday, thats when the next round of invites will start being sent out apparently!
Cool, I was looking at Bali and Oz but then I got my visa for Canada so now I'm trying to figure out where to start and when. Great - Let me know how you get on :-)
My name is Samantha and I'm from the UK! I also had my IEC approved earlier this year (January) and am heading to Canada later in the year. I'm currently in the planning stages but I'm thinking of spending a month in the USA first road tripping around and then heading to Vancouver but plans might change. If you want to chat would love to discuss ideas! How long are you planning on being in Canada I recently saw that I can stay up to 2 years being a UK citizen just need to get the insurance sorted first!
Cool - Have you gone through a company or did you do it yourself? I've done mine through BUNAC as a safety net in case I end up going alone. I leave work in August and then I am looking to head off travelling in September. I was thinking about going straight to Toronto and starting from there but I'm not looking to just move to a new city and work for 2 years. I want to explore Canada, road trips etc! My other idea was to visit some friends in Texas and then head up the west coast of America to Vancouver. It's all abit daunting when your doing it alone! Like you I'm just in the early stages of planning and bouncing ideas around, so I'd definitely love to discuss some ideas! I guess once I'm out there I'd decide if I want to stay the full 2 years or not... There's so many other places I want to see too!
No I didn't do it through a company, I did it by myself as ive done a bit of travelling in the past on my own and I didn't think it was for me! Have you done any travelling before? Awesome! I'm just like you Pretty much the same don't want to work the whole time! I'm still deciding when to leave I was thinking November so it gives me more time to save £££ but I'm still looking in to the best time to go, that's why i want to go to America first as its so close and definitely up for road trips!!! My plan includes Texas Does going through BUNAC include a job? What does it include? Have you seen Banff, i definitely need to go there!!! I saw your from Essex?? Strange that I'm actually from Essex but live in Bournemouth! Message me if you want to talk more.
